The Young Brothers group meets at HPL this month.  Once a month, men who have found a path to success in life gather and meet with teens from Muskegon and Muskegon Heights to discuss life, race, violence, drugs, and reaching their goals.  The object is reducing the vilence that has taken so many young lives.  There will be great food!  Join Dexter Brown, Jon Covington, and others to find out what this is all about.

Hen SappComedian Hen Sapp

7:00 pm, Tuesday, February 28

Love to laugh but don’t want to hear the profanity and vulgarity that some comedians use?  Hen Sapp is a very good family friendly alternative.   Everyone is welcome at his shows, kids included.

Hen Sapp is a loving husband and father of two girls, and an edgy Christian comedian with a gift to make people laugh.  As long as he can remember, he has made people laugh, from classmates to teachers, friends and family with his quick and witty responses.  He learned to tell jokes by playing the dozens as a way to protect himself after being teased about his skin complexion.

This event will be held at The Corner, 280 W Muskegon Ave.

Brought to the community through a generous bequest from Bess Commodore. WUVS 103.7 "The Community Station" the Beat is the media sponsor.  This event is co-sponsored by the Central Unite Methodist Church.
